On 15 March 2016, Jonas Wiesenecker, Attaché for Cultural and Protocol Affairs, Anela Lupin, Assistant Attaché in the Ambassador’s Office, and André Tsafack, Office Assistant in the Press and Public Relations Section at the Embassy, welcomed a delegation form IRIC, Cameroon’s Institute of International Relations. The delegation was headed by Dr. Nériste Germaine Mendo Ze.

On Wednesday 9 March, 2016 the Deputy Chief of Mission at the German Embassy, Lars Leymann and Ms. Vanessa Kadjo, project manager of the women’s rights organization “Women on the move for equal development (WOMED) signed a project financial agreement of 3.420.000 FCFA (5.215 EUR).

On 15 February 15 2016, Cameroonian Minister of Economics and Territorial Planning Louis Paul Motazé and German Ambassador to Cameroon Holger Mahnicke signed two cooperation agreements worth an overall 10 million euros in Yaounde. The ceremony took place at MINEPAT in the presence of Foreign Minister Lejeune Mbella Mbella and numerous other government ministers.

Bundestag MP Hartmut Koschyk (CDU/CSU) visited Cameroon from 15 to 20 November 2015. During the visit, he held talks with the president of the Cameroon National Assembly Cavaye Yeguié Djbril as well as with top officials of the Cameroonian government and administration including the Minister of External Relations Lejeune Mbella Mbella, the Minister of Finance Alamine Ousmane Mey, the Minister of Defense Joseph Beti Assomo and the Governor of the Centre Region, Joseph Otto Wilson.

On Thursday, 06 November 2015, Ambassador Holger Mahnicke handed over a cheque worth 17,531.64 euros (11,500,000 Mio. FCFA) to Dr. Guy Ernest Sanga from the “Association des Amis de Monsignore Vieter”. The money will support the construction of a workshop hall and classrooms for a rural training center for woodcraft in Marienberg.
